Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Server Repair Technician Level 2 for our client in Santa Clara. This is a 100% onsite, temp to perm role with a starting pay of $31 to $33 an hour based on experience.

The Server Repair Technician Level 2 is responsible for diagnosing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing servers and server components received for evaluation. This role requires strong technical skills in server hardware, diagnostics, and component-level replacement. Technicians collaborate closely with motherboard repair, testing, quality control, and inspection teams to ensure repaired units meet quality and performance standards.

This role is 100% working on HARDWARE. This is NOT a software role and candidates coming from a software background will not be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

Daily Responsibilities - ~90%

  • Inspect, test, and diagnose server systems to identify hardware failures and error conditions.
  • Replace defective components (boards, power supplies, memory, CPUs, cables, etc.) as needed.
  • Conduct and analyze server stress tests to validate repairs.
  • Document symptoms, test results, and parts replaced using the company's shop-floor tools.
  • Collaborate with supporting teams including motherboard repair, motherboard testing, QC, and inspections.
  • Maintain and track parts consumption.
  • Provide backup support for QC, inspection, and motherboard testing as required.
  • Follow all operational processes for system and parts management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
